12 Days of Staffing Tips – 10. A Hometown Staffing Hero

Reminiscent of Onin Staffing’s Captain McOninhead, Richard Rosner of Hometown Staffing Services created the “Hometown Hero”, a superhero that appears at events in the community (parades, sporting events, grand openings, festivals, hospital visits etc.) According to Rosner, “…this idea is going so strong, we are getting requests to have pics taken and shared all the time on social media. The parades are one of our best recruiting efforts as we will pass out over 200 flyers for jobs in the area!! (35 applicants from just one parade) and the parade was FREE to participate in!”

Your staffing firm should be a pillar of the communities in which you serve. Creating a character to help make and build connections is a fun way to increase visibility and create access to candidates that your competitors are still waiting to connect with.
